With it being made compulsory for us all to wear face masks in shops and most indoor public spaces, I have decided to make some masks for sale. I’ve seen far too many disposable ones being used, and then tossed to the ground, which is just adding a whole new level of litter which is so bad for the environment. I want to help reduce the waste and harm to the environment this is causing.
The face masks are the same shape as the one I am modeling in the photograph.
They are made with two layers of 100% cotton fabric, with a filter of S13 Vilene heavy interfacing in the middle, and elastic to go round the ears.
Each face mask costs £9, with a £1 donation from each mask sold going to either Rutland Foodbank or EMICS (East Midland Immediate Care Scheme).
Please make sure to choose your size accordingly, Medium tends to fit women and men with a smaller face, whilst Large tends to fit well for most men (especially if you have a beard!). There is also the choice for Children from between 2 - 5 years, and 6 to 10 years.
Please include in the notes section if you have a preference of colours/patterns/bold/neutral for each one. The fabric used for the photographed mask is unfortunately all sold out.
Disclaimer - these are not medical grade. They are suitable for wearing in shops, and around town, but they are not an excuse not to social distance. Just like the ones you are buying in other shops.
Wash at 60 degrees after wearing, and they are also suitable for tumble drying.
* There might be some fading after multiple washes, this is due to the nature of having to wash them at 60. *
£1 donation from each mask sold going to either Rutland Foodbank or EMICS (East Midland Immediate Care Scheme)
As these are made to order, please allow 3 working days for your order to be made and posted, then between 2 and 5 working days for delivery (depending on the Royal Mail's workload with COVID-19).
